Charlie sadly passed away recently. This print was Sold Out long before Charlie died.
David has recently released 2 new prints of Charlie.
Probably the most famous ape from Monkey World. Charlie was one of the main characters from the Monkey Business series of television shows about the world-famous Ape Rescue Centre Monkey World in Dorset.
"Charlie is a male chimpanzee who was smuggled from Africa as an infant and used as a photographer's prop in Spain. Charlie's history was traumatic. When he first arrived at Monkey World he was a drug addict, had a broken jaw, cataracts, and only four teeth." (Pencils, Patience, and Primates).
Everyone was charmed by Charlie, he was a great character, even through all his troubles. It good to think he was rescued and spent several good years at Monkey World.
