In his book “Pencils, Patience and Primates” David recalls, quite emotionally, seeing almost countless baby elephants tethered outside tourist attractions and hotels in Asia, without any water or food. This is a horrific scene for we that have not been there ourselves. Unfortunately, it happens mostly because of tourists.
So David decided to draw a beautiful picture of a Little Tusker running freely. As he should be.
